How to apply for ERASMUS exchange

Please note well: Only students officially selected by our partner schools may apply! An updated list of partner schools is in the Czech section of the FAMU website.

Deadline of the submission of applications and requirements for 2019/2020
The only deadline for the applications is May 15, 2019. This date serves as the deadline for both academic terms – fall term and spring term of 2019/2020 academic year – and for one academic year exchanges as well.
However FAMU prefers two-semestral stays and will give a preferency to them. We want to assure the participants with the most of practical exercises as possible.
The results of the application process will be announced by the end of May.
The official Erasmus Application form should be accompanied by:
– CV
– motivation letter
– on-line presentation of the student’s audiovisual portfolio – document containing a link to a portfolio

During the admission process FAMU admission committee seeks for professional skills namely in the field of sound design, editing, set design and costume design.

 Applicants will be informed via e-mail by the end of May whether or not they have been accepted. The duration of the program is either one semester (please notify clearly if you apply for fall or spring) or one academic year (fall + spring). Please note that every applicant must be nominated by their university coordinator.

Courses and language of tuition
In accordance with the regulations of the Erasmus+ program students may attend all theoretical lectures and seminars that are accredited at FAMU. These lectures are common to both the Erasmus and the FAMU International study programs.
Personal projects are not possible within the exchange stay but participation in other´s project is more than welcome and also granted with credits.

Applicants also need to be aware that FAMU cannot provide housing in Prague. Try to look at this web pages www.travellers.cz or www.expats.cz to find housing.
